| "Add Water and Stir" is a painting based on a true incident in my childhood. My friend Joycie Grimes and I were assigned the task of squeezing the lemons for the neighborhood summer lemonade stand. The older kids showed Joycie how you could get more juice out of a lemon if you rolled it between your palms before squeezing. Joycie passed this trick onto me. Being too small to be effective with the palm squeezing method I did the next best thing. | ||||
